THE RATINGS GUY: Quickly Make Your Way To Trusted Lifestyle Websites.

The Ratings Guy

It’s easy to find websites online, but it’s not easy to find a good one.  Sorting through masses of irrelevant information can lead to hours spent online with less-than-satisfactory results.  With no true separation between advertising and web ranking, the best websites for consumers are not necessarily those which end up at the top of the page of search engines or in bold letters. There are estimates of over 115 million websites available today, and with search results, in part, polluted with sponsored and paid advertising, consumers are finding it more difficult to uncover the websites that are in fact the best resources for their needs.

Consumers’ web confidence is on the decline due to an over-abundance of advertising, excess volume of search results, and difficulty in finding relevant and unbiased information.  In addition, website owners must compete for traffic across a range of unrelated categories, which creates congestion in everyday users’ search results. Clearly, there is a need for more sophisticated online search results for consumers who are interested in finding good, qualified information quickly, and for website owners who would like to differentiate themselves not by paying for advertising but for delivering superior products and services.

This is where The Ratings Guy steps in.

Using a professional, objective process The Ratings Guy reviews thousands of lifestyle websites across a variety of categories including: Health & Wellness, Travel & Leisure, Food and Cuisine, Shopping, Fitness, Kids, Pets, House & Home, Gardening, Gifts and much more.  Rather than using the typical data or algorithm based search engine information gathering model, The Ratings Guy calls on a staff of dedicated research librarians—actual human beings, the original search engines—who, by separating advertising from content, provide online consumers with clear, impartial knowledge.  Thanks to the dedication and personal experience provided by The Ratings Guy team, consumers now have innovative ways and opportunities to make more intelligent and qualified choices when searching for lifestyle information on the Internet.

There is also a passion behind helping consumers find relevant information.  John Morrow, co-founder of The Ratings Guy, has a long history in the information and ratings field.  In 1993, at a time when objective medical information was difficult to find, John published 100 Top Hospitals: Benchmarks for Success, creating the health care industry’s first national ratings and benchmark program for hospitals. Since the publication of 100 Top Hospitals, new measurements of performance and recognition have been established for America’s health care industry.  Largely in part to John Morrow’s efforts in the early ‘90’s, online consumers have now come to expect ways of finding relevant, objective information.

Personal experience with the websites and, in most cases, first hand knowledge of their products and service levels, combined with the use of objective methodology give The Ratings Guy the credibility to recognize superior, safe and reliable businesses that meet or exceed tough standards.  The company’s mission is to identify and publish these sites in order to help consumers find the great sites sooner.  The Ratings Guy researches sites by sifting through daunting amounts of information to come up with dependable online resources, thereby saving consumers valuable time.

The Ratings Guy aggregates the Great Sites, and because it is both free and has no advertising, is able to provide information that is clear and balanced.  The Ratings Guy is like a Good Housekeeping seal, Consumer Reports, Trusted Site and good friend, all rolled into one. So the next time you have the daunting task of searching for that unique gift for your cousin who has it all, or to find out what kind of herbs you can safely give your pet to stop shedding, visit theratingsguy.com and make your way to a great site, faster.
