REVIEW - ClaireMurray.com for hand made rugs was born from the dream of a designer and entrepreneur named Claire Murray. She moved from NYC to the little island of Nantucket and began what is now a flourishing international business, selling bedding, dinnerware, apparel, accessories and hooked rugs. The site describes all the items in great detail, along with beautiful photos, many with the sea as the backdrop. Hand hooked rugs are the core of her company and each one is individually hand-hooked, using 100% wool fibers. The site displays the items with close up photos, written descriptions, size and material. ClaireMurray.com is made easy to navigate and it is pleasant to browse the multiple photos of lighthouses and sand dunes, giving the site a summertime feel of days gone by. Full instructions explaining all the various steps of making a rug are offered in this site. If you find a rug you like, but it is not in your size...they will custom make one for you. Her designs are lovely and the web site will make you feel like you can smell the sea air.
