OhDanishBakery.com - has been baking gourmet cakes and pastries since 1949.  Their specialty item is kringle, a delectable; sinfully rich delight, made with thin layers of buttery, flaky layered pastry, filled with fresh fillings and topped with sugary icing.  The circle of pastry arrives packed to perfection in a wax-lined bag, ready for the fridge or freezing.  We of course couldn't wait to pop our kringle in the oven to warm the gooey raspberry filling.  We also sampled the pecan filled kringle, which tied for favorite.  For four generations, this family owned and operated Danish bakery has been creating kringles, using the same painstaking three-day process of the 1800's.  Fillings come in a variety of flavors, apple, pumpkin, cherry cheese, chocolate, almond and more.  Of course OhDanishBakery.com creates other delicious baked goods ranging from bread pudding, coffee cakes and sweet rolls to gorgeous Danish inspired cakes.  The Ratings Guy staff was certainly taken with the kringle and we all plan to partake in these divine treats over the upcoming holidays.
