The Ratings Guy finds the best quality lifestyle web sites through its unique and objective review methodology measuring; trust, quality and experience one site at a time.

Experienced researchers comb the Web for the best topic-specific information sites.  We rate and review them against our criteria and then publish our Great Site Award picks.  We award only those sites that score high for building and maintaining consumers trust, delivering high quality and authentic content, and for making the process interactive, convenient and highly functional.  We save consumers time by revealing the better sites sooner, and we recognize excellence in Web sites that meet our demanding criteria.

Our mission is to recognize the most trusted and high quality information resources on the Web and provide consumers convenient access for the most important aspects of their living.

The Ratings Guy reviews thousands of lifestyle Web sites across a variety of categories including: Health & Wellness, Travel & Leisure, Food and Cuisine, Shopping, Fitness, Kids, Pets, House & Home and much more.

Consumers deserve a more qualified result during their Internet experience.  Their needs are not being met and studies show their Web-confidence in what they find has been falling.  Traditional search engines are cluttered with paid advertising, and consumers are increasingly aware that the top search result and the most popular sites don't always deliver the best information.

Today, The Ratings Guy provides direct access to pre-screened, high quality and trusted sites based upon a professional and objective review process.  Tomorrow, The Ratings Guy will host consumer’s ratings for the most popular lifestyle categories.  Consumer site experience too, will become a part of our rating.  We hope we can help you.

 Our Founders:

The Ratings Guy was conceived by a husband and wife team who after decades of B2B and consumer ratings experience wanted to do something that actually helped consumers improve their overall quality of life.  They were always being asked by friends how or where they found something important.  Invariably, because of their lifestyle, it was found on the Web, but not without much time, effort, trial and tribulation.  "We lived in different places in the World, and were always on the go.  Our only constant was our source of information, and we used it exhaustively!" said Morrow.  They applied their decades of analytical experience, research backgrounds and brought together a team of experienced research librarians (the original search engines) to build a Great Sites Benchmark Site for consumers everywhere.

John Morrow – A seasoned professional in the information and ratings field for over twenty-five years. John has worked in a variety of roles of; executive,  marketer, editor, publisher, consultant and lecturer.  John is founder and Principal of Kintore Media and co-founder of The Ratings Guy, LLC.

John has been Senior Vice President of HealthGrades, Inc. a public healthcare ratings company grading; doctors, hospitals and nursing homes.  Prior to that he was Sr. V.P. and Publisher for HCIA Inc. (now Solucient LLC, part of Thomson).  Prior to that he was Chief Executive of CHKS Ltd, the UK’s largest performance improvement consultancy and was also general manager for Ferranti International plc, an information technology business.

John is perhaps best know as founder of 100 Top Hospitals: Benchmarks for Success where as Publisher he created the health care industry’s first national ratings and benchmark program for hospitals in 1993.  The programs have identified many critical performance elements in general acute care, orthopedic and cardiac specialty hospitals.  Since establishing the first benchmarks, national performance has improved ratably across financial, clinical quality and operating measures, and new metrics of performance and recognition have been established for America’s hospital industry. Contact John - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Katherine Harman Morrow –  An international CyberConsumer, for more than five years Katherine has literally lived with the World Wide Web.  Her lifestyle, all coordinated via the Web has taken her to 18 countries where she; booked apartments or villas, leased vehicles, shopped, corresponded with family, home schooled her three children, purchased and furnished a home…all using commercial and information Web sites.  "Operating internationally on-the-go for such a long period required dependable information and resources", reports Katherine.  "From everyday medical issues, to transportation, accomodation, shopping, communications, education, news and weather, our family quality of life depended on the best information the Web could deliver."  Although grounded now in the traditional sense, their family continues to use the best resources in support of their busy life, but they have expanded their family to include consumers globally who desire finding the better site sooner.  Katherine is an avid Internet researcher, expatriate and international traveler, designer and writer.  She lives with her husband and triplet teenagers between flights in North America.
