This is a comprehensive site, one of the very few accredited by URAC. We like the blend of interactive features such as ask the nutritionist or nurse, the health coach and the Personal Health Record. These features make the site worth returning to for ongoing questions and concerns.
The Personal Health Record requires a timely collection of data but is a new trend in helping consumers to consolidate their history. With improved output or external transmission capabilities, this feature will be a stunner!
The personal coach once again was an interesting concept, but we found it too impersonal. The site is more lifestyle focused than medically research oriented. We like the combination of resources and found it to be an effective tool for multiple family members.
The drug interaction tool was outdated by 2 years as documented in one area, but further digging showed an update within 6 months. The symptom checker is interesting, but my symptoms directed me to my doctor after only a few basic questions. We expected a bit more insight.
Summary: The array of features on this site make it more interesting at first than after further detailed review. We liked the lifestyle focus, as not everyone has serious conditions to research, and we should all stay in the habit of monitoring our general health conditions more regularly. I did learn something about a drug I was taking that my pharmacist information sheet didn’t tell me, and that was helpful.
Overall a multi-talented site with broad appeal.
